What are Kettlebells and the Reasons why you Should Start Using them

If you go to the gym or just happen to walk past a gym equipment store, you’ve probably come across an exercise equipment called as the “kettlebell”.

What are Kettlebells exactly and what are they for? Are Kettlebells just another gimmick and that one should avoid like the plague?

In this article, I will talk about what kettlebells are and I will also highlight the reasons why you should start using them.

So, what exactly are Kettlebells? Kettlebells are just cast iron bells with a handle attached on top of them. The beauty of kettlebells is that, unlike dumbbells, they are made in such a way that it needs more muscles to stabilize each swing, which in turn, builds the core muscles even more.

Now that you know what a kettlebell is, why should you be using them in the first place? Here are the reasons why:

  2. Kettlebells benefit everyone. Kettlebells benefit people from all age, shapes, and sizes. I have yet to see someone who hasn’t benefitted from a Kettlebell workout. As previously mentioned, kettlebell exercises hit more muscle groups per rep than any other exercise equipment out there. Plus, there are a variety of kettlebell weights to suit your needs.
  3. Kettlebell workouts are fun and explosive. Kettlebell exercises are not only fun, but they are also explosive as well. When I say explosive, I mean that whenever you do a rep, you will ensure that you give your maximum best effort into it. Your mind will also not become fatigued when doing kettlebell workouts because all of the kettlebell exercises are fun to do!
  4. Kettlebell exercises teach you the power of proper form. Kettlebell exercises are powerful because you have to exercise proper form with each rep. Most other gym equipment, like the ever-popular dumbbell exercises, for example, do not promote proper form at all. In fact, some people cheat their workouts because they have the freedom to do so. But, by using kettlebells, if you do not exercise with proper form, you not only avoid hitting the right muscle groups but you also run the risk of injuring yourself as well.

Kettlebells have been around for centuries and it is only quite prevalent to this day. Kettlebell workouts are great if you want to exercise your core muscles.

Furthermore, women love kettlebell exercises because they are fun and they can improve their hips by doing kettlebell workouts.
